I went for a little practice today at lunchtime. I decided to put aside my tragi-comic attempts at developing a hook and just threw the ball straight while concentrating on getting my trail leg out of the way, keeping my hand under the ball and hitting my target. The result? I bowled my first 200!

X  X  X  6/  7/  8-  6/  81  X  XX4 (Yes, I choked on that last shot  ).

I know 200 isn't considered anything special these days, but... c'mon, I'm using plastic and a conventional grip

I went to a league meeting last night. Bowling begins in two weeks.

Here's hoping I don't make too much of an ass of myself ;)

Today I threw my first four-bagger since I started bowling again. I followed that with a 9-count (and missed the spare... duh!!).

I know this is not much of an achievement, but it feels good because I've been really struggling and feeling discouraged.
